  • I don't know but I kind of feel that the interviewer trying to make a bad impression about Elon, don't you think ? ...

  • My. Dream. Man.

  • Oh, the bullshit man is back.

  • THE IMPACT OF SCIENCE ON SOCIETY I think the subject which will be of most importance politically is mass psychology. Its importance has been enormously increased by the growth of modern methods of propaganda. Of these, the most influential is what is called 'education.' Religion plays a part, though a diminishing one; the press, the cinema, and the radio play an increasing part. It may be hoped that in time anybody will be able to persuade anybody of anything, if he can catch the patient young and is provided by the State with money and equipment. Although this science will be diligently studied, it will be rigidly confined to the governing class. The populace will not be allowed to know how its convictions were generated. When the technique has been perfected, every government that has been in charge of education for a generation will be able to control its subjects securely, without the need of armies or policemen.

  • Terrible Terrible interviewer. Let Elon talk his genius

  • Elon Musk is my Ideal, He is Tremendous... Thank you so much @TED For this great Video. Best Regards

  • Elon Musk for President or Forest Trump?

  • He's a great man but damn he is stuttering

  • What if the elevator stops working 😱

  • Who else saw the air Force commercial before watching this? They stated, "The future isn't coming, it's already here." As they went and bombed a building. Wow, complete and utter disgust. That commercial is blasphemous twords this TED talk.

  • Thank you Elon!

  • This is exciting, i'm excited!

  • My gosh! This man is greatness 💕

  • 8:00 to 8:15 When you're not really listening*

  • Nature has laws created by the only creator of multiverse. It is not a fiction movie. Dream is good if it is created by brain with the help of nature created by creator. Fiction dream is a dream created by human projected from outside.

  • I think Elon Musk has Aspergers 10.36 time line you didn't get the sense of humour

  • so would this be like the road for the elite :/ how expensive would this end up being? :O

  • If we go telepathic we'll never move away from wars

  • Love him and i want to see him succeed

  • great idea, but seems vulnerable to terrorism if any car can just be fed into it. Bit of a negative thought , but its the world we live in.

  • Homie looked like he just got out of bed with his bed head

  • If we do what Elon says there will be no need for war... or governments, no need for oil, no need for war, no need for the American military-industrial complex.

  • THE MOST INTERESTING MAN IVE EVER COME ACROSS. Wow 💥

  • My era Estaine

  • Watch in 1.25speed and elon sounds normal

  • Or people could ride bikes

  • 24:50

  • Elon > the rest of human kind

  • Everyone be thankful that hes a nice guy

  • I wonder what would happen to the tunnel network if there was an earthquake.

  • Elon made a Maximum Overdrive reference and nobody laughed :'(

  • The interviewer has weirdly small ladies hands.

  • oh yes more tax dollars

  • Elon Musk= a result of Health and JOY

  • I don’t get it. How is it better than a subway?

  • I would like to see Elon invent and produce either smaller solar panels, windows that are solar panels, or a type of paint that absorbs solar energy and produces electricity. This way regular fossil fuel cars can easily be converted to electricity.

  • Dear Elon musk I'm writing this open letter to you I'm proud to say I'm a farmer more proud to say I'm a family farmer. But the weather is killing me I've been through droughts and floods through the same year. It is called geoengineering I think you understand this concept. I understand the way that you sent think because you're different like my dad I've been accused of seeing things that other people can't see I find this very frustrating as time goes by I think about what I'm going to say before I say it Like Donald Trump he says what he thinks you can imagine the trouble that Donald gets into by saying what he thinks but it does save a lot of time I'm sure if you're working with your own people saying what you think and hearing it makes more sense to you everybody has a brain that works differently sometimes I have different screens in my head to gather information I graduated from high school in 1980 at that time president Carter in the White House when I was in high school he was an FFA president Future Farmers of America he asked us at that time to do great things I've never given up I've never quit and I never will he was the first president to put a solar panel on the White House.. I dreamed of putting a solar panel on my barn. And building a total self-sufficient Farm. This is my resume I grew up on a dairy farm started driving the tractor at age 5 to a hay baler milk cows and farts s***first tractor to have lights that work and power steering was a 1977 3020 gas tractor John Deere my dad worked on that tractor all the time he was a mechanic from the Army and I learned his mechanical skills My Heroes Have Always Been mechanics they could fix problems my point to you is please don't build nothing we can't fix AR build a bond to make it better John Deere wishes to put patents on their computer so we can't work on their equipment anymore and the and the subject. In 1980 and 1980 I graduated early from high school and went to work for a farm supply store Cruise seed beans and wheat mixed and load fertilizers and chemicals and spray it on the feels it was a lot better than pitching manure no pun intended I did put up with a lot of s***. My passion for farming is what kept me going to pursue my goals I needed to have that dream I kept it in front of me at all times and I still to still do today I'm trying to provide a future for my family. I also learned I also drove a truck with a boom on it put up large grain bins and legs and did other work as well I was able to learn how to fly an airplane and get my private pilot's license in an airplane and sold 10 hours in a helicopter at that time I wanted to spray field with a helicopter I love flying can't afford it. I have really no college degree but I do have an engineering degree I built my own I restored a 40 horse Case steam tractor I acquired other degrees while earning this engineering degree it's called 1st 2nd 3rd degree burns my passion became hay. I started my own company Farmers & Merchants seed.. right now I'm looking for a way to sustain my farm I rent ground my landlords have passed away in the kids are selling the land I'm looking for another source of income I thought I pursue another passion of trying to be self-sufficient if there's any way that I could work for you or with you to achieve these goals please give me a call I know I don't have a college degree but I have one in life and I do not want corporations to rule the government like the oil companies did I hope it's your different and we could pursue a great country thank you for your time. PS I can read your mind can you read mine don't need to talk but I can listen.

  • After vr stimulation ppl will go outside very less. .they will meet tho online..I don't think so we need traveling to go to any place...car will very less used after vr stimulation revolution ..cause almost all work done by home...thank me later.👌💐👍 Vr stimulation is life..not city..i am telling you

  • It's time to think different..Do different...Nd.. achieve Something different..For better humanity

  • I feel so small ):

  • Man im so excited about the future.Thank the space gods that Elon was born

  • Are the glass roofing tiles fireproof, will they burn?

  • As soon as the market opens I’m buying shares in Tesla.

  • Musk may have ideas, but an Engineer he is not. No clue.

    • He's just a tax-founded idiot and Tony Stark-wannabe. As an engineer he's a total zero.

  • Hey Elon You are a True Example of "TRY TRY TILL YOU SUCCEED" Hats Off to You

  • This is such an inspiring video of the legend Elon musk

  • This is going to turn into that episode of Dr. Who where everyone is stuck driving underground.

  • His comments about flying cars could have been used for regular cars or even for airplanes.

  • I still can't see this guy as someone who is concerned about the future of humanity. More like someone who wants to do extraordinary things in huge scale. That's not really benevolent, rather egotistical.

  • In summary, the Curator of TED, Chris Anderson, as his interview with Elon Musk came to a closure, said "I think everyone here would agree that it is not, none of this is going to happen inevitably. The fact that, in your mind, you dream this stuff. You dream stuff that no one else would, would dare dream or-or no one else would be capable of dreaming, at the level of complexity, um, that you do." Musk is heard saying "Yes" as the Curator says 'that', but wait, there's more said by the nieve host. Curator "The fact that you do that Elon Musk, is a truly remarkable thing. Thank you for helping us all to dream a bit bigger." Musk says, humorously, "But you will tell us if it starts getting really insane, right?" Laughter is heard as the two on the TED podium stand before Chris Anderson ends the program with a parting handshake, saying "That was fantastic..." Now read an learn from what you are about to learn: My name is Greg Simcock. Elon Musk did not originate the concept design art of the electric vehicles made with the Tesla motif and name. He did not conceive the SpaceX rocketship or concept. The original designs of inspiration of what has been talked about during the interview were created by me. It took many years of tinkering with ideas brought to my mind as I thought long and well into many days and nights, from one's childhood and well into adulthood until my concept drawings were well set out in perspective views and split diagrams. With respect to the inventor who was largely unknown for his work as the inventor, Nicholi Tesla, was I named my most well configured electric vehicles with his surname. A visiting man named Alan Page asked me numerous pertinent questions about my design drawings which have since been thieved from my home and many of my inventions have since become known as creations by false-hooded authors.

  • This guy is a alien...

  • spaceship looks like a tampon

  • its so refreshing to see a billionaire that really wants to use their money to help the planet and to spearhead us into technological awesomeness!

  • Chris Anderson is way out of his depth...

  • Yeah bro I will die working.. Here is some money go party for me..

  • such a visionary and a man of action molded into one....i wish i was like you

  • logistics is difficult to explain to the narrow minded

  • im trippin balls, hooorayyyyy ellon musket

  • THIS. INTERVIEWER. x(

  • wonderful video!

  • Elongated musket gun

  • why not open up the 5 etxtra lanes on the 5 freeway fuckin orange county has 6 lanes LA has 4???? why would they have less lanes whit a higher population ?

  • he elon it's me, stan, your biggest fan

  • Kanye gets an A for effort. But THIS. My God. Lines lines lines waiting waiting waiting no more!!!!

  • Boring machines move slowly so that the cutting face isn't destroyed faster than need be. Lithium ion batteries pollute more than oil to produce and use. Only people who shouldn't be driving will ever use autopilot. That truck will never be produced because its impractical and the range is less than half what is required. The larger the rocket is, the heavier it needs to be built. What good is a rocket if the force needed to launch it crushes it like a beer can?

    • @Jim Kaufman - Your post proves that why you are a slave and Elon Musk is an innovator.

  • lol this interviewer isn't intelligent enough for Elon. Lots of "huhs". He still does a good job though

  • So they wanna get 1000s of ppl down there at 1 time and gas everyone and wipe em out

  • He runs his mouth a lot, takes a lot of people's money on a vague promise of a reliable, safe product sometime in the future, has actually built a handful of bad cars that are disappointing and/or dangerous, and runs a factory where his workers are routinely injured..Now he's been forced out of his own company, and sued by the SEC for manipulating the price of his own stock. Maybe they stopped laughing because they were so horrified. Talk to me when he actually contributes something of value.

    • @sadfj ltie3 - Why anyone wants to talk to any idiot likes you?

  • In deep underground tunnels? Immagine if a fire breaks off... total nightmare...

  • Use magnets to move the tracks

  • "I just try to think about the future and not be sad." ...wow that hurt xD

  • Footage of the reusable rocket really hardens my bologna pony

  • think of the people that will inhabit the post apocalyptic underworld of LA

  • believe it or not his words seems hyperbole at first sight

  • Thanks Elon, now I’m really motivated and realized what I am supposed to do

  • I'd like to work for this man. I don't care if he don't give me anything. I'd like to be a part of his visions and actions.

  • California has a lot of earthquakes...

  • A fascinating individual for sure. You can tell that there is a lot going on in that brain of his, that he's thought things through a lot.

  • This man will go down in history for a long time after all of us.

  • .....I'll believe this guy when he actually goes into production and MAKES money.....

    • @Mark Holzhauer - Tesla sold more Model 3 in America last August than all BMW cars combined. Isn't it "Mass Production?"

    • Mass production? More than DeLorean or Tucker?

    • @Mark Holzhauer - Production of what ? He didn't produce any car ? He didn't produce any rocket ? I don't believe you have an actually good paying job.

  • ...how this fraud has been allowed to hijack the name of a true genius is infuriating...

  • the most depressing experience is to be inside a tunnel

  • Billion dollar bank account. $10 haircut

  • Welcome to the Second Half of the Chess Board. At first new technologies that came along and revolutionized the world happened only every few thousand years. During the beginning of the Industrial Revolution the happened in 10's every few hundred years. During the Technology Revolution (now) world shaking technological revolutions are occurring at a rate of greater than 10 per year. The world turned over during the Age of Exploration 1400s It turned over again at the Industrial Revolution 1800s It turned over again with the with flight, again with rockets, again with atomic manipulation, again with spaceflight, again with computing, the internet 1900s It the world turned over with automation 2000s Turned over again with Quantum computing 2010s Turned over again with A.I. 2015-2018 The 2020s will be the application of the 2000-2019 advances, and will obliterate your understanding of normal.

  • @19:32, that will happen yes, but if you don't need to be driving, you don't need to be present in the car. You will order your car to go pick up the groceries and have it come back. Your car will pick up your children and take them to the soccer practice. Your child can have a car as a toddler that drops it off at daycare while you are getting ready for work. The mundane tasks you associate with that have people waiting for you at the other end will be done by your car instead of you. Jobs that will be obsolete once these happen: 1 Truck Driving (there will no longer be a shortage of truck drivers) 2 Rail Road (only service workers will be necessary) 3 Pilots for air planes and ships 4 Delivery Just to name a few of the big ones Companies that will need to transform or die: All Taxi services, Uber and anything like it Some people will have a family car that will have the job of ferrying the family around all day long, you will set it with the family schedule and go about your business. It will be the bus of the future for your family. It will diversify: 1 People will be able to take excursions that needed private companies to escort them to the wilderness 2 The military will use it to fight with For two more examples I think people are underestimating this whole thing, we are not making self driving cars, this is the automation of transportation, this single event will be the greatest revolution in transportation since the event of getting off the ground in sense of travel. The world will be restructured because of this.

  • the goth daddy

  • Elon makes me excited about our future.

  • What state would power these? Washington wouldn't mind a few more wind farms. White pass or Snoqualmie may present a great opportunity; keep Chinook pass protected. Solar/Tidal may provide an answer. What about the EPA concerns? Aquafer obstruction would present a hurdle, rerouting them may raise costs. When the ring of fire floods the tunnels, where will the capital for rescue operations come from? Who will maintain the tunnels? Because Washington State will be under contractual power obligations, will we reserve the legal rights to supersede any political, structural or financial decisions voted upon, or otherwise implemented? If so, and the previously stated concerns are met, I think there may be a new infrastructure in our future. And don't forget the 2 hour route to SeaTac.

  • What would an earthquake feel like, on a skateboard, in an underground tunnel going 130mph feel like?

  • I love this man and his dreams....

  • I'm always curious what our homes and the housing situation would look like Elon Musk got involved with designing a more eco-friendly environment where we live.

  • i see the future of everyone being lazy and having all the extra things to do the work for you and it will effect ur physical health they will try to fix health problems with these things to make it faster and easier but will make it worse cause its unnatural

  • He did tell Tony Stark he had an idea for an electric jet 😃 wonder how that is going 😃😆

    • Robert Green watch the joe Rogan interview.. he talks about it
