  • When I'm rolling out my dough and flouring my cookie cutters, I use powdered sugar instead of flour; It makes a huge difference. It's really good.

  • How much of the meringue powder should you use in the royal icing????

  • Great tips, thank you.

  • Like

  • I love how these look, but I wish you could do a soft sugar cookie with all these additions 😕

  • the english cc subtitle for the "tanginess" is written "tangy anus" lmao

  • I tried it out and when i used the thicker royal icing, the little bit of icing in the piping tip hardened and i couldn't work with it. What to do?

  • Do you have to put in cream cheese or is there any substitute for it

  • So so so want to make some now, he he. Thank you. x

  • Can i not include egg whites/meringue powder into the icing mixture? What purpose does it provide?

  • Fantastic 😉

  • What’s the difference between a shortbread and sugar cookie?

  • 🧤🎄⛸✨❤️

  • Love her voice

  • This recipe is truly delicious. I'm usually not the kind of person to eat too much sugary treats, but I ate so many of these cookies right after I made them, that I lost count.

  • She sounds exactly Kristen Wiig

  • What is the amount of time and the degrees for the cookies

  • I have subscribed to your channel

  • What if you don't have an electric mixer? Would a whisk work fine?

  • I made these and the icing was really really thick did I do something wrong? And the dough was not very flaky was that because I over beated it?

  • Hey, how 'bout a little sumthin' for the fellas?

  • Just finished making these and they came out perfect ❤️ Thanks Tasty!

  • 8:42 THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID

  • i learned so much😊

  • CHRISTMAS VIBESS

  • This seems like a lot of effort for a cookie or rather buy one from the store

  • Like make sure it’s fully incorporated. The key is to incorporate it all in there so it’s completely incorporated.

  • Butter Creme cheese Eggs Almond extract Baking powder Creme of tartar Is all i need to make these

  • Do you leave it in the fridge for 2 hours?

  • Loved the video nice job 👍🏽😎

  • I’m making them rn I’ll come back later and tell y’all how it went Edit: these are very time consuming and you have to follow the recipe exactly, and the frosting hardened up so just add milk, but they taste SO good! Definitely recommend making them there super good

  • I put on captions and no offense to tasty but I really don't want my cookies to taste like "tangy anus" 😂😂😂

  • How many cookies does this recipe make?

  • 4:50 :give it a little zhuzh, a little shimmy

  • 4:45 is when she put the cutter in the center

  • Making the cookies now, they looked and tasted great until I put the almond extract in. Now it could just be my deep hatred for almond extract influencing my opinion, but I think they could do without the almond extract, but then again they’re still chilling outside so maybe after two hours the dough might taste better.

  • good job

  • OMG those are so cute! I want those edible stars ⭐️ now!! I’m definitely trying this recipe soon!!! In Brazil we have some different traditions and one of them is something called “Rabanada”, something like French toast, but soooo much better hehe. We have a video showing how to do it and using a waffle maker which makes the recipe so much easier. If you want to check it out here’s the link to the video and to other recipes (we have subtitles available in most of them). us-tv.org/tv/video-Uvnnvv74hGg.html Again, great recipe!! We ❤️ 🍪 too!!

  • All the extra ingredients I don't want to buy 😂😂

  • thank you great video very helpful. Merry Christmas TASTY!!!

  • VERY INFORMATIVE 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  • 2:28 there's a piece of dough at the bottom left corner and is annoying me

  • I’ve never used royal icing but I’m going to make cutout cookies this year. Is royal icing as bad as everyone makes it seem?

  • My favorite cookie to make :)

  • Thank you for all the tips.

  • i also add almond to mine! i think it makes the vanilla less harsh and more christmassy!

  • Looks to yum & easy...wanna make them right now.

  • Fuck you you suck idiot gove up u fat fuck like me ì u agree

  • I watched this the day after I made cookies.

  • Roll the dough between two pieces of baking paper then cut out the shapes and transfer the paper to a baking tray - no sticking and no mess.

  • This was great!! Im definitely going to try this

  • Thank you for this vdeo! Love the great explaining and tips throughout. Awesome! :)

  • I will add a 🎄for every like I 've got p.s I am liking my own comment 🎄🎄

  • bj iz

  • Wish she put the measurements 😔

  • I hate this chick's voice so much.

  • How did they do the red and white design on one of the cookies? Please tell me how to do it if anyone knows how to. Also, please let me know if you know how to make the dark green design on the circle cookie! Thanks!

  • What a super informative video . Merry Christmas 🎄 to you

  • Can you use the egg whites from actual eggs instead of buying store bought egg whites?

  • Ugh, almond.

  • MUST we use pasturized egg whites or meragnie powder??!! Cause I live in SG... And finding does things.... Is gonna HARD... ALL I WANNA DO IS BAKE COOKIES AND EAT EM.... Not going all over town to finding egg whites or meragnie powder Edit : Ya'll know what??!! I'm just gonna use water

  • This is a very professional recipe for delicious sugar cookies! However, I believe that the cream cheese added a little bitter aftertaste. This might be pleasing to some people but I personally did not like it. Another factor that may have played into this issue is that I don’t like cream cheese and am more of a butter person. I am for sure not putting the creator of this recipe at fault it’s just if you were to make this cookies for yourself always consult other people’s reviews. If I were to make this recipe for my family I would definitely use it but without the cream cheese. I also love how these do not spread. That was something I was looking for in sugar cookie recipes. I suggest this recipe to all people but just double check what ingredients you would not like to include in this recipe. Future lesson to future self, don’t add other ingredients that my seem useful but you don’t enjoy. Overall I love this recipe and am relieved that it is finally out to the public! This should have came sooner! Keep on doing the good work tasty!

  • This was really helpful definitely going to be trying this way in the future. I love making sugar cookies and decorating them. So this will be very helpful cause I don’t know how to use piping bags yet.

  • Am not even going to cook this, I just like to watch food videos.

  • I love whoever’s voice I’m listening, she sounds so chill and laidback

  • why is there a wrench cookie

  • So, I just made these and no one liked them. Also, these are not sugar cookies they are butter cookies. Like a kind of shortbread cookie. They were weirdly acidic from the cream of tartar and it put everyone off them. Did anyone see a bake time for these or a temp even? Wouldn’t recommend these.

    • blue_tea_shirt I agree! I tried to use this recipe twice, but when mixing the butter and sugar it was hard to get the right consistency. Also I wasn’t expect the batter to be so tart. Oh well.. 🙃

  • It's a really cute video to help a newbie. You had me until you mentioned the rolling pin rings and said, "…you have to buy them. Expecially." C'mon, Tasty. Expecially? Really? Maybe for your next video I should axe you all how I can make a great expresso at home.

  • HEY , MY LONG TIME USED ,RECIPE! I LOVE IT. GREAT TASTE. Don't use almond .Yuk. No tarter, more cream cheese. . Use non salted real butter. I use cookie press. No waste. Less work.

  • If i wanna use meringue powder instead of egg whites for the icing, do i use the same amount (1/4 cup)? Or am i gonna need more/less?

    • Awesome, thank you so much!

    • Three places to look on US-tv for royal icing recipes with vids that use Meringue Powder. SweetAmbs, Haniela's and Montreal Confections. I use the SweetAmbs icing recipe (I bought it with her cookie recipe for $0.99 so my conscience won't let me just tell you, lol) but she might show it in a video. The other 2 DEFINITELY have both full recipes for the icing and cookies in step-by-step videos. (For my chocolate cookies I combined and modified the second 2 recipes and love it.) The SweetAmbs cookie dough feels better but the finished cookies bend.

  • No way will i put almond extract in my cookies. I cant stand that almond extract flavor. It over powers everything, even in tiny amounts.

  • They came out way too sweet:(

  • I hate the way she says sugar cookies

  • I was skeptical at first (Because, y'know, it's Tasty) but like, she went to culinary school, she knows her shit. Not very used to that.

  • I had a hard time with the butter and sugar it became too creamy like liquid creamy anyone else ??

  • I wonder if I can change the recipe a bit by adding 1 tbsp of sugar..?

  • When I made them they didn't taste good and left an after taste.

  • I followed the recipe exactly and my cookies ended up spreading anyways

  • Anyone k ow where to get the cookie cutters they used. The santa is a must.

  • How long and what temperature do you cook them for?!?! I just made a big batch and I have no clue how long or what temp to bake them atttt😭😭😭

  • You guys should do tasty 101 meringues!

  • do you have to use an electric mixer? i don’t have one and don’t want to get one

  • Can you do it without the cream cheese and almond extract???

  • Way too much work except for single people or mom's with kids gone during the day. Wilton's butter cookies are some of the best tasting, don't require chilling, and don't stick.

  • the only good tasty videos

  • Her voice is soo soothing.

  • So I made the cookies and they were rlly nice but I have one thing to say about the video. THE RECIPE MAKES LIKE 70 COOKIES😱. I didn’t know what to do with them so I just handed them out to random people. I thought I would have like ten cookies but no. If your making them and you don’t want loads half the recipe

  • Is it possible to put melted chocolate on a cookie and make an ornament on the top of it with the royal icing?

  • So we need cream of tarter

  • This is amazing, I would love to try and make these!

  • YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND I LOVE THIS PLAYLIST ( :

  • Can someone please translate cups into grams?

  • I tried out this baking temperature and time when I made the cookies. They burnt while still remaining doughy. They get better over time though.

  • Is the almond extract optional because I would love to bake these cookies for the holidays but my two brothers are extremely allergic to all almond based products. Just asking thank you. And Happy Holidays to all!!!!💜

  • Great video!!! 👍🏻 But why do you got egg whites in a bottle, we haven't got that in Austria! 😂😂😂

  • can you use self rising flour for sugar cookies

  • What if you use the egg while, from the eggs you took the yolks from? Can you do that instaed?

  • you cook great but you should write ingredients more like not 1/5 cups but like 100g or something :/

  • Does this make a softer cookie, or a more crunchy one?
