  • If you go to New York and you want to try that signature "New York Pizza" this may sound surprising but most 99¢ pizza stores will give you that signature new york pizza taste. If you want to try a unique pizza thats partly Italian and partly New Yorker then try Two Boots. But if you want to know some good new york pizza it sounds weird but its the 99¢ pizza stores. (Trust me I live in New York)

  • That is not even close to a New York style pizza. New York pizza has a thin but not crispy crust and almost always has a generous serving of evenly spaced pepperoni slices. The slices are so big you have to fold them in half to pick them up. Its cooked in a brick oven optimally heated with coal.

  • Alright Babish. I don't know if you'll see this but I'm gonna tell you the secret to slapping out a pizza crust like an actual pro. What you're doing is called "Gravity stretching" and it's a great way to end up with bubbly, uneven dough. First, You wanna make sure the doughball is round, then "dock" the sides by pressing your FLAT fingers against the edge. Try to leave it like 1mm in so you get a nice lip around the edge but that's pretty hard. Then flatten your hands, use your left on one side of the dough (NOT on the edge or too close to the middle) to hold the dough down while you stretch, then with your right hand pull the dough further and further apart until you have that 14inch round. Also for an easier time use corn meal, not flour. Experience - I slap out pizza dough all day errry day.
