  • I would love to know what this mans vertical was back in the day.

  • 1:50-1:55!

  • Go WOLFPACK!!

  • Down to earth guy very humble

  • Who the fuck decided pro basketball is played by 6'7" guys. They should fire Adam Silver and make Spud the Commisioner. He should change the regulation for basket height down to seven feet. That should speed up the game and actually have all ten athletic players play the game rather than having slow, tall guys that simply hop up and down. The game would be more relatable since the players are normal size people. Hit like and subscribe to my channel if you agree or disagree. Thanks.

  • Imagine that a Guy 5' 7" in front of you suddenly jumping and dunk the ball in your face! He is not a alien is a escepcional human being one of a kind atlete! A sports wonder! Spud Webb the living legend!

  • I was a huge Spud Webb fan when I was a kid. He could dunk even though he was only 5'6" tall. That is amazing!!! He was super fast, he had great quickness and he was exciting to watch.

  • he was a GREAT player! i saw him stuff a much taller player during a game. that doesn't just take great jumping ability, but also timing. he was incredible! he should have played in an all star game.

  • I don't think the narrator has ever actually watched an NBA basketball game.

  • Spud Webb has the heart of a Lion! Congratulations Spud on a Wonderful NBA career. And 1963 was a wonderful year ✌🏻

  • How Good was 5 Foot 7 Spud Webb? short answer: VERY long answer: watch this..

  • The fact during his high school year at 5'4" he could dunk

  • Watching him win the dunk contest was amazing

  • Anyone notice no 3 point line.....

  • Spud was the best small man to ever play the game. HOF

  • He wasn't 5'7 He was 5'4 either way legend

    • Young Showdans 1.70m is about 5’7 though. I’m the same height. This man was not 5’4 as that would make him only an inch taller than Muggsy which he wasn’t

  • Spud Webb is my role model

  • he played in the NBA era when big man and big guards dominanted and he still was able to get to the hoop and was one of the favorites in the slam dunk contest at 5"7 made a name for himself and gain everybody respect

  • Spud Webb is the most Awesome Dunker of all Time & Here's Why^Taller Guys are right there at the Rim & Have Wing Span^But Spud Webb didn't only just Dunk he Did Big Man Dunks of All Kinds^He Flew to the Rim & Dunked Hard^Pump Dunks like Dominique Wilkens^Three Sixty Dunks^Two handed Backwards Dunks^Name it Spud Webb did it and Impressively^Spudd Webb played like he was well over 6 Feet^Spudd Webb was more than Awesome with a Complete Basketball Game & Deserves to be in the Hall of Fame^

  • Excellent video!!!

  • Whatever you think of yourself in life it can appean.

  • What wae the instrumental beat?

  • Respect

  • do8n dunks at 5ft 4

  • U don't. Have. To be tall but. U. Better. Have major hopps

  • Bio je dobar ko moj kurac.

  • dwarf in flesh *GIANT IN SPIRIT*

  • North Carolina State?

  • I'm 5foot 7.5inches

  • 11:03 Am i the only one hearing this clearly. Spud was averaging 50 points a game😱😱.

  • 5'3 Muggsy Bogues was the shortest NBA player

  • 4:42 Wow, the basketball court looked really bare without the 3 point line!

  • Definitely underrated.

  • He was Very good

  • Just how high of a vertical did Spud have? That's just freaky.

  • Spud webb was out of this planet to be honest he is greater than jordan

  • This guy is a legend out here in Dallas, his sister was a teacher at my high school back in the day, very sweet lady..I wish Spud had more coverage of his success in the Game..we all wanted to Hop like dat.

  • We need a pro peewee league

  • At five foot seven you have to be insaaaanely good

  • Whose the shortest player in the league today?

  • Great Video Shows how deep you guys get into this great Game and it's Roots... Thumbs up for you guys... I definitely Like 👍🏼

  • Spud Webb had a INSANE vertical but other then that he really wasn't good!

  • I'm 5'7". Now I know I can dunk! SPUD!SPUD!SPUD!

  • He should've got more respect on his name also n all star appearance he was awesome

  • My favorite player in Segas NBA JAM

  • Awesome video!

  • I loved watching him play for the kings

  • R.I.P ❤️🥺

  • I was at the NJCAA finals and saw Spud Webb lead Midland to a double overtime thriller over previously unbeaten and #1 Florida team. He scored 40 points in that game. I remember earlier in the tournament when he first dunked. The place went crazy and Midland became the darling team of the tournament. Hutchinson, Ks fans will never forget the performance he displayed over the five-day period.

  • Spudd webb,straight legend short man,giant heart and skillz,never 4 get spudd webb,1 in a million 4 sure,thanks spudd.

  • Ever notice the class of these gentlemen?

  • Underrated

  • He was good

  • Damn... Thumbnail looks like Spud had to do his vert max just to high five Manute Bol 😂

  • how many in centimeteres?

  • 7 foot 7 lol

  • Muggsy Bogues is even sorter

  • He was 5'4 and he could dunk the ball

  • We cannot rate a player just by height. Actual statistics, time coach offer him to play, contributions made to the teams... all count.

  • Love Spud Webb

  • Why he should be in the HOF? because every basketball fan around the world knows who is Spud Webb!!

  • I will always have most respect for the small guys in the NBA and basketball generally...

  • If spudd was 6 foot 6 he would be the greatest player of all time

  • Great job! How can't you love Spud?

  • Spud Webb was a giant man in a short man's body!

  • There's footage somewhere of Spud posting up Mugsy. It was during a pre-season game. Charlotte vs Atlanta? Can't remember. Anyway, if you can find it? Post it. Up. Ha-ha. See what I did there? Get it? Post it. Up. Awww, nevermind.

  • That was awesome!!

  • He did not look happy at all winning the dunk contest.

  • Dynamite comes in small packages

  • Along with hops, spud was fast as hell....

  • 3:13 dunking @ 5'4! he's more 5'6 than 5'7 during his nba days. I saw him dunk during an all-star game when I was a kid and swore the basketball floor had springs in it...he jumped effortlessly, my mind was blown.

  • Spud was a beast! I remember him in a slam dunk contest back in the 80s. He was super human’

  • Spudd is the p4p goat

  • I wish I was 5'7.

  • now im motivated to train harder

  • How good was a 5'7" NBA player? Fucking good! To even say 5'7" and NBA in the same sentence in the land of the largest bests known to man. Oh and he won the dunk contest. Get the fach out of here. That's how good he was!

  • Spud was amazing but look a little further back at a guy named Tiny Archibald...even better!

  • Eric Snow was the G.O.A.T.

  • Very impressive documentary of a very deserving player thanks for all the thrills Spud.

  • Your bad music drowns out half the narration over clips. Poor production value, especially the audio.

  • He had nowhere else to go: 3:32. Jose Altuve was initially told by the Astros to go home. Keep trying.

  • 5'6" .5 here..........(Can't leave the half out) Tip dunk a few times...........

  • He’s rolling

  • Thank you for this fine fountain of information about our human brothers.

  • I still say there should be a 6'0 under pro league with a 3" rim drop....The problem is the talent pool would be so much larger that the regular unlimited NBA would seem boring

    • agreed except the rim should stay at 10'. also nba players are "considered" the best by default because of their sheer size. we know talent wise that their are other skilled players at the local gym or neighborhood but the lack the height. nba players generally speaking are represent the heavyweight division in boxing, mayweather and Pacquiao were once the best pound-for-pound boxer. as great as they were, would get walloped by the lowest-ranking heavyweight.

  • You don’t see that kind of action in today’s NBA.

  • good video but you have to edit your music a little better at times it was too loud and interfered with you talking.

  • Spud should be in the HOF because he is that famous.

  • "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 Only Jesus Christ is the way to Heaven and be saved from hell. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 Have you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the grave? You must believe that Jesus is the one who paid for your sins and rose again to be saved from eternal damnation and instead go to heaven "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7

  • Literally jumping out of the gym.

  • Tough dude

  • When he won the dunk contest I couldn't believe it. It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen.

  • When Spud was in Atlanta he dated a girl from my home town..... she was a cheerleader for the Atlanta Hawks!!! Her name started with a "S !" If he reads this he knows who it is!? She has pretty eyes! Another good short player (Chris Jackson)was ?Abdul Rauf ?!He had turrets syndrome (prob misspelled!?) Sometimes you'd see him tie his shoe over & over again.... but he could shoot the ball like you wouldn't believe!!!! He played for a while in the NBA too!! Can't remember who.... maybe the nuggets !?

    • he plays in ice cubes big3 league and still shoots lights out.

  • MASSIVE props to Spudford, screw all these 6'8 and 7 footers dunking like it's some big accomplishment. Overrated aholes, anybody can yoke at that height

  • So good that they named a gun after him--the spud gun. I had one as a kid, and loved it.

  • I would like and subscribe if it was not for the shit music that takes away from the good video.

  • More like STUD Webb.... amirite or amirite? No? Nothing? Damn...smh

  • At 5’7” Spud didn’t just give hope to aspiring NBA players. He gave hope to anyone that ANYTHING is possible and that you won’t know unless you try. Also, what I love about his dunk contest win is that he actually dribbled the ball on almost all of those dunks. That made his finished even more legit to me.

  • So many memories from that time in the NBA. Thanks

  • What’s his vertical?

    • standing vertical 41 - 43in. but he got higher on the move. he's more 5'6 than 5'7
