  • and now, we wait for the perfect moment to attack from the water

  • Needs to be 1,000 times larger with motel on back

  • to noizly

  • 楽しそうでなによりです。

  • Please make 10 centimetre version of dog.

  • Endless summer flashbacks kinda but with robots

  • โอ้ย ตัวต้นแบบนี้เอามาทดสอบในไทยด้วย

  • A few days later: Fuck, everything’s rusting and nothing moves anymore.

  • Good boy

  • Beach'n 😂😂😂

  • Lovely

  • talk about tecknologe

  • What can you say? I guess movies help make these things plausible for is to accept in "real time." If you believe for one moment this has tactical enemy value. I suggest you look closer to home. Too much cost for outside use.

  • This is art

  • Big dog doesn't mind carrying presents anywhere just like Santa.

  • Big dog actually road his tiny submarine to Thailand.

  • 0:17 Are those some ninjas carrying something?

  • Big dog on the sea so much sadness

  • THE KICKING GUY IS MISSING

  • Waterproof or suicidal?

  • can it drown?

  • cute..

  • You could make the BigDoge

  • If you look closely you can see that' it's not a Dog Kappa

  • big dogs adventures

  • and then big dog was found and eaten by the Thai locals. The end.

  • 11/10 for Endless Summer theme music.

  • Oh look , it packed its own lunch, oil, batteries, some mixed nuts ( and bolts) and a bag of ( silicone ) chips!!!!

  • Be careful, you don't want to flood the flooking engine!!!!

  • Old tech is old. Still cool though.

  • me lub u lung tyme big dawg!

  • Walks slower than a toddler

  • Lovely.

  • 10110011100111010111010010101!!

  • ВЫЗЫВАЕТ УЛЫБКУ :)

  • Lol how long did it take after that test for all its limbs to rust off and the electronics to pull a blue screen of death?

  • Beach blanket BigDog! He needs a Hawaiian shirt. Can't wait till they post PETMAN riding the waves and hanging ten.

    • I don't think wearing a Hawaiian shirt in Thailand would be a good idea.

  • It looks like two people hiding in a cardboard box and one is walking backwards

    • it looks like two drunk guys carrying a couch

  • Video: Calm, soothing music. Real life: ZGRZGGGGZGRZGZGRZGRZGRGRZGRZGRGRZGRRZGGZGRZGRZGRZGRGRZGRZGRZGGZGGRZGRGZ 110dB.

    • Mole what???? Who are they advertising to????

    • Mole yeah there probobly trying to make people think there not going to take over the world. :)

    • It is called advertising.

    • Hahahah

  • Cute... Until 3,000 of them are racing across a battle field with laser sighted automatic weapons communicating with each other and making real time kill decisions... 'Great for America fire power...' Then see them running through the streets doing crowd control when unemployment soars....

    • You know, it doesen't have real AI, it's not invented yet, and there is no reason to implement it to Big Dog It's a transporting robot designed to help the military, carrying ammunition and rations No AI = no uprising = no threat You should start worrying when AI gets invented, if it is, only robots who truly need it will have it implemented, like androids or robots that are made just for social interacions, that can only move their head and faces

    • what's wrong with that? you'd rather see real people getting killed?

    • Robots aren't that bad

    • and here we see a stupid careful children don't talk to it. it will insult you and tell you lies

  • sexy

  • When you have robots, who needs humans? Who needs animals?

    • when you have humans and animals... who needs robots ;) Kappa

  • Love it. I'm gonna remember this primitive bot. :-)

    • +Ostrich160 Look at Spot, the new one. Jesus, I love this company.

    • +Ostrich160 it is :-) just take a look at the last prototypes.

    • +PLATOON72 I'd hardly call it primitive

  • Aww so cute

  • "I live in Boston Massachusetts, though I like the warm a tad better. I enjoy hiking, jogging, and long walks on the beach. I can carry 340 pounds of equipment and rations while simultaneously recovering from walking over rough terrain or climbing over tough inclines. I was programmed to be kick proof and was intended for the U.S military to use for transporting troop supplies but they said I was too much of a talker. Did I mention I'm a robot?" -Big Dog's E-Harmony profile description

  • some bright green flares would look good on it.....perhaps fishnets for tropical hols

  • Boston Dynamics are an ethical company, every year Big Dog gets to choose a holiday destination and gets three weeks away from getting kicked..... remember Bog Dog has a big heart, respect Big Dog if you see it sun baking on a beach near you......OK

  • this is cute

  • He looks like he's having so much fun c:

  • I think it's nice that they took him on holiday.

  • beautiful

  • I don't understand. What's the whole point of having a 2 million dollars mechanical mule when you can buy a normal mule for 100 bucks at the nearest dirt farmer? Besides, tell me something that this thing can do that a well equipped SF cannot.

    • 0331 lmao@ the money comparison do you realize the amount of money that is spent trianing SF

    • Well-trained special forces are given millions of dollars worth of training, too, so the comparison is pretty close to equal, even if just in monetary terms.

    • People cant complain about animal cruelty. It wont get scared. It can be left on its own at a moments notice.

    • +theproudbritishman the SF comparison i think its answerable because one is a machine and the other is a human being so u dont waste people lives and blabla. U can also include the camel on this comparison when talking about controlling the unit and shit, "100%" safe because it dont think or whatever the fuck.. When u send someone to a mission, death is a reality and even tho u are trained, machines dont choke or even need training. Its still questionable but it also remains as a fair point

  • Please Remember that This is Now Owned By The Go0Gle Corporation! And The Y0uTube your watching it on

    • +Jason blank I read somewhere that they don't want to do anything with military, even refusing their funding.

  • very cool, but can it cook?

  • Note the disarming music. Now imagine it with a fucking terminator soundtrack over the top.

    • Yeah whilst it's playing at the beach with a vulcan cannon strapped on it's back....

    • +Frank Rizzo While its running and playing a beach?!

  • You'd get very attached to it. I would, but then I anthropomorphise my car - and my dog is a person.

  • 귀엽다ㅎㅎ

  • Apparently robots like to play in the water too.

  • If they made BigDog submersible, everyone pray for our lives.

  • I still think he looks like two drunk guys carrying an enormous pizza-box.

  • Big Dog is SCREAMING for an AT-AT costume! you must! :P

  • Sell these to amazon please. I want packages delivered to my door on one of these.

  • And here we see the spawn of satan taking its regular morning swim. Don't get too close it may get loud.

  • The first images of the BigDog I've seen were in this video. I kid you not, I thought that I was seeing two guys dressed in black, bending and carrying something. Then, it struck me...

    • know what you mean.. reminds me of when I used to deliver big screen tvs back in the day

  • they took it on a seaside holiday? only scientists

  • what's 'it' doing in thailand? spending holidays?

  • Até o robô vai na praia e eu aqui, igual um palmito --'

  • en otro video de boston dynamics me aparece como wildcat

  • How much does one of these cost? How many donkeys could you get for that price?

    • +Panda (Squid) how long would a donkey last on a planet with zero atmosphere ?

    • At a guess I would put a minimum cost at about $100,000 to $200,000, could be a lot more. I count a minimum of 4 actuators per leg x 4 legs = 16 actuators. Given the speed and power put a minimum of maybe $5,000 per actuator. Plus the leg structures, cabling, sensors, and other hardware, say $5,000 per leg. Plus the central structure, ultra reliable military petrol engine, and high performance compressor say $40,000. Plus the computer hardware, other electronics, control valves, and so on - $20,000. Add in assembly costs $10,000. That adds up to $K 80 + 20 + 40 + 20 + 10 = $170,000. With full production that might reduce to $120,000 per robot. The actuators are the biggest cost and for Big Dog they are probably either completely custom components or similar kinds to those used on military jet fighters like the F35. BTW I am working in a parallel field - Strong AI but certainly don’t have anything like the kind of funding or resources as Boston Dynamics. : )

    • +Arttyor i dunno i know a guy who could get donkeys pretty cheap and probably wouldn't care about indemnity. Also just a thought but what if we put a robot brain in a donkey body? Again this guy could grow donkey bodies for pretty cheap. Also does horses, llamas etc

    • +bensdad123 You need to pay donkeys constantly. Also, this is way cheaper, since u need to pay indemnity if donkeys die, and that's a lot. So you are pretty much wrong. and very bad with logic.

    • +Panda (Squid) don't get me wrong i think it's awesome. But it seems like a really expensive way to carry gear around when a donkey could do the same thing

  • I am just sitting here watching a robot take a vacation.

  • I want to ride this thing!

  • robot needs vacation too

  • Time to LEAVE THEM ALL BEE-HIIIINDD

  • without the horrifying chainsaw/lawnmower noises = less scary

  • My brain wants to explain this as human legs, 4 years old... W3hat have we now?

  • subscribed!

  • I have seen the Dog before. it still strikes me "off" each time. a combination of the mincing steps and the appearance that the two pairs of legs are facing the wrong direction -- almost like two men facing opposite directions under the mass.

    • Man, now i see same staff. its creepy

  • I wish it could kill dozens of shity persons who don't deserve to live.

  • Aww cute little doggy, fetch the ball.Even big dogs go on holiday :)

  • А через, каких то 30 лет такие роботы будут широко применяться во всех сферах. И особенно в мочилове людей=)

  • i can't imagine people who don't know "the big-dog" by BD and then watch this video !!

  • I think it's cute how it walks

  • this is honestly my favourite thing in the entire world i want this played at my funeral and my birthdays and childrens birthday s and my childresn funeral

  • Roboholydays!!ggg

  • Instead of carrying troop support equipment they could fill it with explosives and GPS instructions to find and neutralize a target. Have it parachute into the battlefield, seek cover and only travel at nigh. Sort of a slow, four legged cruise missile.

    • Too expensive to make to do things like that

  • Who had the idea to play happy beach music instead of horrifying screechy noises, upon the revelation this abomination can survive water.

    • It isn't an abomination, it looks adorable :c

    • +FAH Holliday Slowly claps.

    • I love abominations. I would prefer if it had horrible music since I know robotics will eventually consume humanity due to their effectiveness.

    • you call it an abomination but don't see all the possibilities that this technology will provide in the future for everyone ~.~

  • Why not just use a donkey instead of this multi-million dollar robot? You can get 'em for a $1, and when you're done with them you can eat 'em. It'd be a lot cheaper...

    • Why use cars when we can walk? Why use boats when we can swim? It's about learning - they are improving it all the time; its like the first mobile phones, they were clunky and inefficient now look at them today.

  • 20 years from now this thing will look like Ravage from Transformers, weapons and all. Be prepared.

    • What does it mean to prepare? I doubt there is much we can do.

  • a walk at the beach with #bigdog very ro(bo)mantic! :)

  • This was surprisingly easy to Fap to

  • Lol the first part of the vid looks like two guys inside a box with their legs poking out doing a Cossack dance. But seriously, amazing achievement. But freaky

  • Can he swim?

  • What are doing the American drones in Pattaya ?

    • I know not what they doing beach on?

  • KILL IT WITH FIRE, before is too late!

  • you should've taken it to the dog beach lol

  • THOSE DOGS ARENT CUTE THEY ARE SERVED FOR MILITARY!

  • 1:03 sex scene

  • Even Skynet needs to chill the fuck out sometimes.

  • The galaxy's tiniest AT-AT?

  • just having a good time
